Get the most secure service possible with our on-site mobile service. Our trucks shred and pulverize documents into small unrecognizable bits at a speed of up to 2,000 pounds per hour.

Benefits of On-Site Shredding

Affordable Shredding’s ISO certified on-site paper shredding system procedures reduce risks and drawbacks by ensuring all confidential materials are destroyed on your premises by trained, bonded security professionals while onboard our state-of-the art mobile shredding trucks. By giving you the ability to witness our document shredding service via closed circuit monitor, and by providing an audit-able Certificate of Destruction after each shred, we end the chain-of-custody right on-site with you. What’s more, we can shred in a matter of minutes what would take hours to shred in a typical office shredder, and customers don’t have to worry about dust, noise or waste disposal.

How On-Site Shredding Works

There is no better way than Affordable Shredding’s trusted on-site shredding service to protect your confidential documents and alleviate liability associated with legislation compliance

Our secure process starts from the instant your employees deposit their confidential paper in our locked office consoles. Based on your service schedule, our Customer Security Professionals (CSPs) empty your consoles and transport your sensitive information—in a locked wheeled tip cart—to the shredding truck parked outside. During the entire process, your paper is never directly handled by our CSPs.

The wheeled tip cart is securely fastened to the chute of the shredding truck and automatically lifted inside the truck to shred your material into tiny pieces, which are mixed with other shredded paper that cannot be reconstructed.

On-Site Shredding vs In House Shredding

Risks of Off Site Shredding

Document security experts suggest that organizations using haul-away (or off-site) shredding services face increased risk and liability by severing the chain-of-custody when disposing of confidential information. When private information is taken off- site for destruction, confidential materials may be handled by multiple parties out of sight of the source organization, thus leaving that organization vulnerable to error and fraud that may result in irreversible damage.

On-Site Shredding vs Off-Site Shredding

Risks of In-house Shredding

Contrary to on-site shredding services, In-house shredding uses valuable employee time, stealing focus away from core business activities. Leaving “to shred or not to shred” decisions up to staff creates higher potential for employee error or breaches of confidentiality, and does not provide any independent certification that sensitive information has been professionally destroyed. Office shredders are messy, require maintenance, have limited capacity and require organizations to complete an extra step by putting the shredded material in the trash or recycling stream.

On-Site Shredding vs Recycling

Risks of Recycling

Even less secure than haul-away (or off-site) shredding services, paper recycling programs do not provide organizations with the confidentiality required to meet legislative requirements. There are multiple steps in the recycling process and simply not enough built-in security measures to protect against unauthorized access to confidential information.

If confidential paper is placed in a trash can or recycling bin, it simply isn’t gone for good. Cleaning crews, maintenance staff, visitors and various others – including individuals connected with a firm’s competitors – could easily access private information left in bins.

Saving Trees & Being Green

Our state-of-the-art trucks can shred thousands of pounds of paper an hour and quickly complete even very large jobs. Not only are all your documents completely destroyed on-site, 100% of the material is recycled and eventually made into other paper products.
